The Duke Extra 2.0 Plus-Size Active Mattress is a state-of-the-art alternating pressure-relieving mattress system. It is designed to prevent and treat pressure ulcers. As such, we recommend this mattress for patients at very high risk of developing pressure ulcers. It is also used for treating up to stage 4 pressure ulcers.
It features 29 individual cells, including 25 alternating air cells and four static pillow section cells at the head end. This mean this plus-size active mattress provides comprehensive support and pressure redistribution. The mattress has a remarkable maximum patient weight capacity of 50 Stone (317kg). This makes the Duke Extra 2.0 particularly suitable for larger patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
The mattress’s edge-to-edge alternating cells deliver pressure reduction across the entire width of the mattress. As a result, it delivers alternating pressure care at every point. This innovative design provides effective pressure relief and support for optimal patient well-being. The Duke Extra 2.0 is specially engineered to fit wider beds in our Harvest Healthcare product range. Examples include the Community 1200 and the Ultimate 1200 wide profiling beds.
The mattress includes essential features such as the CPR facility, allowing for quick and efficient emergency response, and a 4-way stretch welded PU cover. The cover is designed to be vapour permeable and water-resistant and has a Crib 5 fire rating, ensuring a hygienic and safe environment for the patient.
To maximise the benefits of the Duke Extra 2.0 Active Mattress, it is compatible with the Harvest 3 Pump, which offers advanced control and functionality. The Harvest 3 Pump is designed to provide optimal pressure relief and customisable settings for enhanced patient comfort.
