The Kensington Active High Risk Overlay Mattress is a great alternating overlay mattress designed by Harvest Healthcare specifically for patients at a high risk of developing pressure ulcers. This dynamic overlay is ingeniously crafted to be used with the patient’s existing static mattress, providing enhanced pressure relief. Please note that it should not be used as a standalone mattress.
The Kensington features 16 alternating cells made of noise-reducing TPU material, reultining in a quiet and peaceful environment as the cells inflate and deflate. The alternating cells operate on a 10-minute inflation and deflation cycle, providing consistent pressure redistribution. Additionally, the active high risk overlay mattress includes a dedicated pillow section with two static cells, offering optimal patient stability and unparalleled comfort.
With a strong focus on practicality, all air cells within the Kensington are individually replaceable, ensuring easy maintenance in the event of damage. This feature minimises downtime and extends the longevity of the mattress.
The Kensington boasts a 4-way stretch welded PU cover that exhibits exceptional properties. This high-quality cover is vapour permeable, effectively managing moisture while being water-resistant and possessing a Crib 5 fire rating, ensuring safety and durability.
